Comments: My husband, Kevin, is now Captain on the Sugarland. His father, Philip, was Captain for many years. She's a family legacy for the Box family. She raised 4 kids for my in-laws and now she's raising our 3 children. It's nice to see pics of my husband's home away from home!

Comments: My father was captain Oscar Elder he worked on this boat for several years. He passed away on September 17,2009 and I was looking for pictures of boats he worked on. Thank you
Comments: I worked on the river for several years before I went back to school and now I'm doing social work. It would be great to hear from some of the crew I worked with on the Joyce Hale and other boats. I miss that job a lot, but now with a wife and seven, yes - seven kids, I had better stay put. Comments: My son just started working on the Delmar Jaeger, this week. His first time working on a boat. It is great to be able to come to a site and see the boat where he is working, and when he changes boats, I can come back and check out the new one! Although I grew up in KC, MO, I never had the chance to watch the boats; I am excited to hear his stories and how he feels about the job. Thanks for providing this site!

Comments: The Lynda Anne was built by my dad by Lemay Barge in Greenville, MS. It was named for my daughter and my niece. It brings back many good memories. My dad went in business in 1956 and built a towboat named the Barbara Jane I wish I knew what happened to it.
