Comments: Just checking on the Boats. Miss everyone of them as I don't do too many crew changes any more. I love seeing them on the rivers.

Comments: It was great seeing the James E. Nivin again. It was named after my father who worked at ACBL for 40years. Unfortunately he passed away Feb.26th,2009. He was a true Sailor. Thanks for keeping up with these great vessels.

Comments: My what a great website! I am proud to say that my father has worked on the Mississippi River for over 60 years. Some of you may know him as Captian Gus Bishop. He started out as a deckhand at the age of 14 and worked his way up through the years. He still works on the Mississippi River and loves every minute of it. I know that he was captain of the American Beauty for quiet some time, but also rode pilot for the Crimson Glory, Prarie Dawn, Ginney Stone and other boats. His life has been wonderful out there. He truly loves what he does and always looks forward to going back.
