Comments: Great site, worked on the river in the late 70's early 80's for SCNO Barge Lines. Best job I ever had and loved working on the Brother Collins as a deckhand mate during this time. My brother, uncle and cousin all worked on the river on and off thru the years for Upper Mississippi Towing Company

Comments: Enjoyed the pictures, I worked @ Dravo and enjoyed seeing Sunflower-the first we built in 1973 and I worked there on these boats until close in 1983. I was a machanic.
Comments: THANKS for the great pics of the vessel named for my dad, R.W. Naye. When she was built, he had her painted sky blue and white instead of the standard black and white. Boy, did he get grief for that! If anyone knows of her first Captain, Captain Stevens, I'd love to hear from him. mikenaye@yahoo.com

Comments: I happened upon your website today, it is great. I worked in the marine industry for 35 years, 1974 till 2009. My last position was with a short lived towing company called Tennessee Marine. The M/V Laura Rodgers, that is being operated by AEP now was one of our boats at TN Marine. I had the honor of naming this vessel for my daughter. I hope someone can get a picture to you of this boat, as it is a beautiful and well designed vessel. I miss the river and all the great people out there. Hope to run into all in the near future.
