The American Beauty is my favorite towboat. I recently constructed a scale model of it, and follow it's schedule trips up and down the Mississippi River.

Living on the Ohio River, and spending a lot of time on or around the river, I enjoy the boats. I can remember a lot of them. Great website

Great site, Wondering if someone out there could help.\nMy son-in-law's dad W A '' Pal''\nWalters was on the m/v Jere Ann. I believe that this is the same motor vessell as the ''Mary Parker''. I believe it would have been around 78-79. There was a cook by the name of J M Rice\nthat wrote a wonderful poem about Poppa. the date was 3-19-1979.I am not sure if this was the vessell or not but I believe it was. I am trying to locate her because Poppa is Dying and I know that she would like to know.If anyone has ever heard of her please let me know.It would be greatly appreciated.. Thank You so much.

Hi. I was excited to see that my namesake boat was on this site. My Dad owns the company that the Darcee Lane runs for. Nice pictures.
