Comments: February 20 1979 I turned 21 on the City of Louisville. Even though I wasn't on her that long I think of the City of Louisville often. Nice to see the old girl is still in service.
Comments: VERY COOL! I took a chance and searched for the towboat I am working on as a cook! Eureka! There she is! Thank you! Now my little grandkids AND the rest of the family can see where I work! :)
Comments: Rode the M/V Megan Beesecker 2000-02, she's still afloat after a face lift. Character building in the years after high school, wouldn't trade it... can't say I'm sad to see her flying a different flag, was a cut rate company to work for, satisfying to see it gone...
Comments: I was passing through Clarksville this morning and decided to stop at the lock so I could get some photographs of the riverand was also able to photograph the SIR Randy J.the captain was kind enough to step outside and talk to me while he was in the lock waiting to go to the other side. I didn't get his name but I just wanted him to know he sure made my day. thank you for taking time to talk with me.
Comments: A few years ago I was given for my birthday three old old snapshots of barges, having home on the TN River, I wondered if these boats plied the TN. They are not the modern tugs of today but from days gone by. One has Arthur Rider in very large letters and the river does not appear to be very wide in any of these pictures. The pictures hang in my kitchen as I love old boats and trains. Just wondering if they were owned by your company at some point a long time ago. Thanks for allowing me to post this to you !
Comments: I have a pewter plate dated june 17, 1976 m/v ralph e. plagge .it looks like it was made in Columbia pa. it is a nice piece - ithink I will keep it for awhile.
