Comments: I worked as a deckhand on the M/V Valley Transporter And the M/V Redbird summer of 1976 and 77. Stayed in St. Louis with my dads buddy Jim Pritchard, who was a business agent for the NMU. I remember a beautiful cook named Cindy Lou, who made the best cornbread ever! What a great education for a high school kid from Cali.....

Comments: Hi, When I was about 8 years old, we were on our trip with my parents. Up to Duluth, MN. We happened to be there at the same time as the Charles Lehman tug boat came by. My dad's name was the same name as the tug boat. And he got to talk to the captain of the tug boat at the time. And found out that they run mainly on the Ohio River. But had a special run on Mississippi at that time. My dad was proud to get to see that tug boat. We have pictures of it at home. My name is Karen M. Baldwin (Lehman) I was surprised to see the name changed.

Comments: Served aboard the m/v W. V. Keeley, in 1951, with Capt. Danna Young, upon the Kanawha River. I had been clerking for Moore's Hardware, Guyandotte, WV, when Danna sold me on the idea of shipping out with him. Don't recall any details. Didn't stay long. Need a good 8x10 photo, for my history album. Thanks.
