Thank you so much for posting these 16 photos. I am a Vickers, my Aunt and Uncle were Juanita and Elmer Vickers, and I was raised playing in the shipyard and on these tugs. It was so nice seeing Aunt Nita's Tug. Thank you for keeping the History of all these tugs alive.

Worked on tugand tow boats from 1978 to 2003.
Most of the boats I worked on are renamed or been retired. Martha May. John C Byrd. The NEW Albert Cenac was offshore tug replaced by the NEW inshore Albert Cenac.

This is a wonderful resource. Thank you for maintaining it. I decked on most of the.Valley Line Towboats and am particularly fond of the Valley Transporter, Valley Voyager & the A.D Haynes II. My father was Chief Engineer on the Transporter for many years and as a 10 year old I would make a trip with him in the summers. I followed my father and eventually retired after a 50 year marine career.

late Spring of 1980 whilst travelling in a 19' Grumman square-stern canoe with outboard - on trek around the eastern US - - C.G.Willis Co. kindly offered us a ride (with canoe) from Brunswick, GA, to Philadelphia on the Captain C.G. - - the crew made us feel at home - - especially with the excellent Chesapeake Bay Breakfast of boiled cod and potatoes. They then made connections for us with another company to take us to Boston.
