I grew up on the Ohio River, and my dad worked for ACBL on the Frank Rader, V.W. Meythaler, and if I remember correctly, the A.C. Shelton, and also spent some time in Cairo. I've probably seen many of these boats a time or two!

Started my maritime career as assistant engineer on the UNITED STATES with Federal Barge Lines...I forgot just how swoopy the lines of that boat were. I went on to a career in deep sea side of the business, tankers, bulk carriers, cruise ships and finally ocean tugs, but never forgot where I started.

I recently found a very nice ash tray of the pusher David McAlister. I was trying to find someone that might be interested in the old river pusher.
