Wonderful pictures. My father, Capt. Roy Horton, was Captain on the Penny of Cassville many years ago. These photos bring such wonderful memories for his children grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I worked at Lock# 50 (Ohio River)and Smithland Locks & Dam (Ohio River). Most of the bigger towboats I have locked. I am retired and do appreciate your taking the time to gather the photos. I worked from 1969 to 2002 on the Ohio River.

hey there richard, i was wondering if you could try to get a few pictures for me and put them in the gallery.the boats i want you to try and c if you can get a picture of are the daryl c hannah, c/o paducah, a picture of the billy joe boling not the one in the gallery but the bht billy joe boling.also i have a few pictures for you that i took.i have the bob koch, bill stegbeaure, samuel j, magnolia, legend, martha mac,anoter midland, mallard mary l and mary roberts.there might be more but thats all i can think of that i put on the computer.i put the pictures on the computer and gave the pictures to someone else. so i will send them to you after i am done with this.

Great site Dick.I built a scale model of the Original O H Ingram of Ingram Barge lines.This summer has been hard on the Barge Co,s because of the small amount of grain being shipped on the river.Most tows are 12 to 15 barges.This year I seen Towboats leave the area with 2,4,and 6.A few went out with 12 barges.Keep up the good work Dick
