What a site. My dad, Thomas, while at FBL, worked on the Harry Truman, Tom Sawyer, Dixieland, Mark Eastin, Missouri, Minnesota, United States, and the steamer Hurley. He and his brother, Bogle, were never far from the river. Dad also worked with the Ohio River Company, before retiring>

Very spectacular photographs. I grew up on the West Coast watching ocean going tugs. Now in the Midwest I very much enjoy watching the push boats on the Ohio and the Mississippi.

My wife and I own a home in Lansing,IA. on South Front St. and enjoy your website to identify all the towboats that travel up and down the main channel. We spend hours outside on our deck watching the commerce in progress on the mighty Mississippi. Thank you so much for your gallery of information. Sincerely, Rick and Tonda

I really enjoyed your gallery of mississippi towboats. Started at 16years old I worked parts of 1946,1947,1948 on the mv Edward B Warner.I understand it was built early'40s onthe cobble stones at Memphis. Capt. Warner and his brother Capt. Charles were on board .
