Two four-cylinder triple expansion engines, 2400 hp. at 185 rpm. Foster-Wheeler "A" type steam generator, 275 psi. at 100 deg, superheat. Bunker C fuel oil. Built by Defense Plant Corporation (hence called a DPC). Originally Mateur, chartered to Federal Barge Lines, St. Louis, MO. Transferred to U. S. Engineers, Vicksburg, MS 3/1947. Sold to Jumer's Casino & Hotel, Rock Island, IL, moored by casino, renamed Effie Afton. Sold to Hamm's Holiday Harbor, Chillicothe, IL. Apparently abandoned.
